Tamarind juice
Ingredients:
- tamarind
- water
- ice (optional)
- sugar (optional)
Instructions:
- Remove the shells of the tamarinds
- Place the tamarinds in a large bowl and cover with water
- Let it soak for 2 hours until the pulp of the tamarinds in soft
- Use your hands (or a blender) to extract the pulp from the tamarinds, at this point you can remove the stones once they separate from the rest
- Use a strainer to separate the juice from the pulp/seeds
- discard the pulp/ seeds
- The juice should be a concentrated, add a water to taste to dilute it.
- If you want add some sugar (I usually don’t)
- Add ice and serve
