Baked rigatoni with salami



  • 300gr rigatoni
  • 100gr salami sliced
  • 1 red onion peeled and sliced
  • 1 clove of garlic peeled and sliced
  • 4 tbs of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
  • 3 tsp of creme fraiche
  • 3 basil leaves
  • 2 fresh mozarella sliced
  • pepper
  • olive oil


  1. cook the rigatoni in boiling water for 10 min
  2. drain and reserve
  3. in a frying pan heat the olive oil
  4. fry 1/3 of the salami until crisp
  5. add onion and garlic
  6. and cook until onion is soft
  7. add balsamic vinegar, chopped tomatos, creme fraiche and basil
  8.  mix everything and season to taste with salt and pepper
  9. simmer for a few minutes
  10. add the rigatoni to a baking tray
  11. pour the sauce on top of the rigatoni
  12. lay the salami and mozzarella on top of it
  13. bake for 25 min at 190C or until golden
