Cornbread
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 ts sugar (1/2 cup sugar )
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- oil or butter, for greasing the pan
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 160C
- Grease a baking pan pan.
- Combine the flour, cornmeal, baking soda, and salt. Then reserve.
- In another bowl, combine the sugar and butter,
- add the 2 eggs and mix.
- mix in the buttermilk.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and mix together, it’s okay if there are lumps.
- Pour the cornbread batter into the pan, then bake for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
