Fried split peas

Ingredients:

  • 150gr Yellow Split peas
  • Water
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinagre (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil ( or other of your choice)
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Wash the split peas really well until the water comer out clear
  2. Soak in cold water and Apple cider vinegar if using for a few hours or overnight
  3. Drain and rinse the peas
  4. Try to get the peas as dry as possible, use a towel or paper towel to pad them and remove excess of water
  5. Eat the olive oil in a frying pan
  6. Add the peas and salt stir constantly with a wooden spoon.
  7. Remove as soon as they start to changing colour and are crispy.
