Fried split peas
Ingredients:
- 150gr Yellow Split peas
- Water
- 1 tbsp Apple cider vinagre (optional)
- 2 tbsp Olive oil ( or other of your choice)
- salt to taste
Instructions:
- Wash the split peas really well until the water comer out clear
- Soak in cold water and Apple cider vinegar if using for a few hours or overnight
- Drain and rinse the peas
- Try to get the peas as dry as possible, use a towel or paper towel to pad them and remove excess of water
- Eat the olive oil in a frying pan
- Add the peas and salt stir constantly with a wooden spoon.
- Remove as soon as they start to changing colour and are crispy.
